Hello, I’m Bindi Kelly, as an Early Childhood Educator based in rural North Johnstone - Malanda. Take the worry out of your day by choosing Family Day Care, your child will be able to relax, have fun and feel important in their small daily groups. Children need to enjoy their learning throughout life and how better to do it than through play. In my home I offer a range of fun activities and experiences for children in a quiet setting with both native wildlife and domestic farm animals in their surrounds. Being a Chef by trade I am highly motivated in teaching children all about their food, from planting it, to putting on the table. There are discounted rates for families of two or more children and care is available for children from 6 weeks through to 7 years (with some exceptions) and am on the Topaz school bus run.
Hi I’m Elle Brown at Julatten, my husband Warren and I have two teenage children, Holly and William and call our 160 acre property in Julatten home. Children in care can experience life on the farm with supervised feeding of our many horses, cattle and 2 pigs. I started as an educator in 1998 and have had great pleasure caring for many children during this time. I became an educator first to be home with Holly, however I soon realised this was my new career choice. I provide a program that endeavours to offer a variety of experiences. The program incorporates experiences children would encounter in their family home, educational activities (learning connections) and play which allow them to explore our environment. Parents and children are encouraged to participate in planning for experiences and are able to be involved at whatever level they feel comfortable with.
I recognise that parents are a child’s first teacher and I am proud to offer children a place to be themselves.

Hello, my name is Ngaire. I am married with 4 children aged 26, 25, 23 and 13 years. I grew up in New Guinea and attended boarding school on the Gold Coast. My husband Murray works on a cattle station near Winton in Western Queensland. I have taught my 4 children through Longreach School of Distance Education. While doing this I completed a course in phonics through the Language Foundation of Australia. Having a genuine love of children and still having my youngest daughter at home, I decided to set up a home day care which is called Munchkin Manor. My home is on a small farm near Mourilyan where I share my passion for all creatures great and small with the children. We enjoy caring for all the animals - dogs, cats, budgies, galah, chooks, horse, cows and our poddy calf. I aim to create a loving and caring “home away from home” where the children and their families feel welcome at all times.
